Surge in Crime under Tories

Under the Conservatives, Park ward has witnessed surges in crime on a consistent basis.

The total number of crimes reported in 2023 went up in just two years, from 1,467 in 2021 to 1,772.

 

In 2023 alone, a startling 45 per cent of all reported crimes in Park ward were violent in nature.

 

Lib Dem campaigner Zach has been vocal about residents' concerns, stating: “Residents often describe being fed up with the lack of action from the Conservative-led council over crime and antisocial behaviour.

 

“We have people living in a state of fear in their own homes The Conservatives are ill-equipped to serve the community’s needs urgent intervention is needed to address these issues head-on, ensuring the safety of our streets and providing much-needed support for local people.

 

“Investment in preventative measures and deterrents is crucial to addressing the root causes of crime and curbing this worrying trend”.
