The previous Labour administration's decision to stop the clearance of fly-tipping from alleyways has left a lingering mess in our neighbourhoods across North East Lincolnshire. Compounding the issue, the current Conservative leadership is restricting alleyway clearances to just one per year.
Amid this dire situation, the East Marsh ward Liberal Democrats team have taken matters into their own hands. Teaming up with the local clearance company 'Simply Refreshed', the team have successfully cleared five alleyways, including the troublesome stretch between Castle and Harold Street. Undeterred, they're embarking on a sixth clearance this week.
This proactive stance underscores the Liberal Democrats' commitment to enhancing the local environment and ensuring a cleaner, safer community for all.
