Local Party Chairman
What's the Role?
The Chair's role in the Grimsby and Cleethorpes Liberal Democrat party is to provide guidance and leadership to the local party executive.

The Chair ensures the local party is working to an agreed vision and development plan. The Chair is accountable for ensuring the local party meets legal and party requirements and is, along with the Treasurer, one of the two signatories on the local party accounts.

Key Tasks
Depending on the level of activity and skill set of the officer team, the role of Chair may need to carry out a fair amount of work themselves, but generally speaking, the role is usually a manager or leader of the officer team.

Ensures the local party is working to an agreed vision and to this development strategy plan.​

Chair local party Executive meetings to ensure full participation.

Ensure effective decisions are made and carried out when teams report back.

Ensures the local party is ready for the month ahead.

Responsible for local party data protection.
How to apply?
It is a constitutional requirement for the Grimsby and Cleethorpes Liberal Democrat party to have a Chair. Chairs are elected each year at the party's AGM. Any member of the local party can stand to be the Chair. The post can be held for a maximum of three consecutive years.
