Labour Can't Be Trusted!

While many local people are struggling to make ends meet due to the cost of living crisis, Labour Councillors called upon NELC to spend approximately £100,000 on a new audio video system.

 

Lib Dem Councillors voted against this move, saying it would be an irresponsible waste of money at this moment in time, as the Council's budget shows projective deficits for the coming years, along with the lowest position on our reserves for some considerable time, due to Conservative overspending and neglect.

 

Let us first get our financial affairs in order and help local people through the cost of living crisis, before spending money on such vanity schemes. It is time to stop this borrowing and spend culture. We saw it when Labour were in Council last time, wasting money of such schemes as the crazy paving, and we are still seeing it from them now. 

 

Labour can not be trusted with our money!
